As we have learnt in our inquiry unit, water is an essential resource for the environment and humans. However, water is also used by humans for many different recreational activities. For many years, water has been used for surfing, boating, fishing, kayaking, skiing, body-boarding, jet-skiing, wind surfing and more fun and exciting activities. A new form of recreational activity involving water is starting to become very popular around the world. It is called flyboarding.

Your task for this afternoon is to spend time on the iearn website and our class blog. You need to put a post on the iearn site about A-He and A-Shun and ask our Taiwanese friends how Victoria and Syd are.
You then need to put at least one meaningful and thoughtful comment on our blog on one of the posts. You will need to write at least one paragraph. If you do not put these two comments on the iearn site and the blog you will need to do it for homework or tomorrow at recess.
As the world of technology takes over our lives, at times we need to and think about what truly inspires us. Reading a book provides us with many opportunities to learn. Lis Bu talks about her hopes and dreams and changing them when they don’t look like coming true.
This morning we have been determining importance using my handbag. I emptied everything out of it and we discussed and debated whether the items were very important, kind of important or not important at all.
This week for rotations I am asking you to stretch a sentence. Your learning intention is: Writers are able to create interesting sentences. The image below gives one example of how to do this. It asks you to provide who; is doing what; when; where, and; why. Try to make them as interesting as possible and use adjectives.
Today for Inquiry you are required to begin designing a model to display your learning for the term. You will be spilt into groups of 3 and will have to work together to design and create a model which shows your learning about the water cycle. Be cretive with how you want to make your model.
