Flyboarding   9 comments

Borrowed from Mr Andrew’s blog…

3/4A CLASSROOM

As we have learnt in our inquiry unit, water is an essential resource for the environment and humans. However, water is also used by humans for many different recreational activities. For many years, water has been used for surfing, boating, fishing, kayaking, skiing, body-boarding, jet-skiing, wind surfing and more fun and exciting activities. A new form of recreational activity involving water is starting to become very popular around the world. It is called flyboarding.

Watch the video and use the prompts below to post a comment.

– Explain what you think flyboarding is.

– What do you think it would be like to go flyboarding?

– Do you think it would be dangerous? Why/Why not?

– How do you think flyboarding works?

  1. Miss Cook, I have seen someone do this before at sea world they have people doing shows and this one part of the show and it is sensational it would have to be one of the best things I have ever saw and it looks magical I couldnt believe it and I diddnt have to watch the video to know ehat the video was about.

  2. I think that this would be exilirating to do but dangerous at the same time because if you lose controle of it then you could crash into the jetskie. I would love to do this.

  3. the dangerous stuff they do and the dolphin diving.

  4. This is so cool, i didnt even know you could do such thing! It looks really high up. I think it looks a bit dangerous though. I wonder how they make this work? How can they go up? It looks like they are flying in some parts. I wonder if some people in Australia have done this yet? What was the first country who done flyboarding?

  5. I think that this is extraordinary for a person like me because I have never seen something like this before.
I would love to do this. It might be scary but I want to still do this.

  6. Wow this is so amazing it looks like so much fun.I wish I was there right now trying it out.I also didn’t know there was such thing it looks a bit dangerous but it also looks fantastic at the same time.I wonder where this is? What country came up with it?Why did they make flyboarding a thing? Is it a big thing in that country?I would love to try this outstanding thing one time.Is it in Australia? Can they get it in Australia.I also think it looks like they are flying.I wonder how they made it like that like how did they get it to make it look like they are flying?

  7. I want one 😦 . I think that they are very dangerous because if you freak out and start trying to move you will lose control. Liz I can tell you that at the end it says it is in Cheval de Mer, Sainte Maxime, France. I think that the acrobatics are amazing. I would like to try but I think that you would have to be 18 or over because it looks like an extreme sport.

  8. WOW. That is so amazing. You must have to be very muscular and strong. They can do so many tricks on thse things. How do they control it? It is so cool when they duck and dive in the water. I would love to be able to do that. How can you do it for that long? I would get puffed out. You would probably have great skills and balance. They would probaly have to do special training for that. Maybe ballet. Those things that hold them up look like bubblegum being stretched. It looks so cool. I also think that you have to be 18 or over because it looks so dangerous. I don’t want to have a go on one of those. You would have to practice for months.

  9. I think this video is really cool. I have never seen anyone doing that before. I wonder how they made that.
