Today for maths 5/6C, we are going to be looking at angles. Your learning intention is for students to be able to identify various angles. Your task is to find a number of different sorts of angles around the school and photograph them. We will then have to categorise them into different angles. I will put the photos that you take on this post.

Snapshot Writing 4 comments
Over the past few weeks we have looked at a variety of parts of snapshot writing. We broke up sentences, stretched sentences and used lots of descriptive words. Today your learning intention is for writers to be able to create a piece of snapshot writing using an image. As a group we will explore our thinking about this image and then you will be able to write a snapshot about it. In independent writing time in your own class you can publish this piece.

HOMEWORK: DUE MONDAY 17TH JUNE 8 comments
Over the past few weeks we have begun a maths investigation about water. The investigation introduction is:
Water is a precious resource, so we all try to be careful when using large amounts. We take shorter showers, and avoid watering our gardens in the middle of the day.
But what about small amounts of water? A tiny constant drip from a tap wastes a surprising amount of water over time.
If you know how much water goes down the drain when you leave the tap running while cleaning your teeth, you might just change your habits.
Investigate ways to find out how much water goes down the drain.
Your homework task for this week is to investigate water at home. First you will need to see whether any of the taps/showers leak. You then have to record one way that your household saves water, and one strategy that you could put in place to help save water.
